Calico Ghost Town!

We took the kiddos to Calico Ghost Town, to get them out of the house and spend the day together as a family. It was such a fun trip and the kids were so well behaved. I think Andrew and Hope needed a family day and I needed a day out of the house. We had a great time riding the train, panning for gold, and checking out all the fun shops. Merilee slept thru most of our adventure but was a good sport. It was hard to see Gary go back to work on Monday--it was so GREAT to have him home as I recovered from the c-section and as we all adjust to having a new member of the family. It was one of those PERFECT days!

Merilee has been so much fun! Andrew and Hope both love to hold their new baby sister. Andrew has been a terrific helper and has adjusted quickly to the new addition. Hope is still adjusting and I think misses being the "baby". I miss sleeping thru the night but I am thrilled to have this new little one in our home!

Grandma & Grandpa Miller

In November we went to Tucson to visit Grandma and Grandpa Miller. It was great for the kids to get acquainted with their Great-Grandparents. I have such great memories of visiting Grandma and Grandpa as a kid and it was fun to see the kids have the same experience.

Christmas 2008

We have enjoyed another WONDERFUL Christmas! The kids have been so much fun to watch as they open presents, pick out presents, act out the nativity and learn Christmas songs. We can't believe how much they change in just one year. Hope has loved un-decorating the tree and Andrew loves Christmas songs and asking a million "why" questions.

Hope's Christmas Eve Dance

Every year the kids get new pajamas for Christmas Eve. We decided to give the kids their baths before opening up their jammies this year. We had about 35 people over for brunch that morning and the kids were exhausted from all the fun with friends. Hope's coordination is the first thing to go when she is tired and as a result we got a great video of her dancing to jingle bells while opening up her Christmas jammies. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday HOPE!

Our sweet little Hope will be turning one this week. We just can't believe how quickly the year has gone. She has been such a wonderful addition to our family. She has an infectious laugh and catches the attention of every passerby. Trips to the grocery store take much longer these days as Hope chats with everyone. She loves her big brother and thinks he is hilarious...even when he is being naughty. She is crawling and into everything. Nothing below two feet is safe in our house anymore. We are so grateful to have HOPE!

Sunday Mornings

Well...Gary has lots of meetings on Sundays. One day as I was home with the kids and they were all dressed for church. I decided it would be fun to turn my living room into my own photo studio. Who knew how hard it would be to get both kids to look at the camera and smile. Impossible! But sure fun to try.

Growing Family
